Local heritage book of Großenwörden
The parish of Großenwörden can be proven since 1628, because this was the year the first pastor, Mr. Hinrich Welder, was ordained. He held his services in a small chapel before the present St. Marien Kirche [St. Mary's Church] was built in Großenwörden. Behind the church is the still-existing cemetery, where the inhabitants of Neuland and Großenwörden found and still find their last resting place.
He was followed by Henningus Grimpe, who died in 1673 after 37 years in office.
The first church books begin in the year 1673; unfortunately, they no longer exist from 1628 until then. The parish includes the places Neuland, Neulandermoor and Großenwörden. The church books show that the parish was led from that time on by Pastor Jacobus Conradus Huckenius, pastor to Engelawörden, as the place was then called. (Source: the first page in the oldest church book, with the first 10 pastors of the parish recorded on it.) His date of death was 28 April 1700 and he can be found in the OFB [Ortsfamilienbuch, or local heritage book].
I had help from two gentlemen of the mailing list for Niederelbe [Lower Elbe mailing list], who kindly translated the predominantly Latin text.
In 1746, the place now known as Grossenwörden was called Megalowörden; only since 1764, when Pastor Goldbeck was introduced into office, was the name Großenwörden used. More about the history of the place and the church can be found at:

Where did I get the data for the local family book?
Pastor Goldbeck's data can also be found in the OFB Kirchlinteln, to which I referred and also exchanged data with the writer.
Furthermore, in 1992, I created a registry for the parish, because there was none for the books until 1790. Initially, I only wrote down the data from 1673 to 1852. In 2013, after consultation with the parish, I got the permission to create a local family book. Then I photographed the baptisms until 1902, the weddings until 1927 and the interments until 1919. Since no dates of birth had been entered for the wedding ceremonies performed since 1875, I went to the State Archives in Stade and supplemented them on the basis of the civil service books. These I viewed beginning in 1875 until 1925, then no more birth dates are entered. In addition, the personal privacy restrictions also begin that year. I was able to complete some of the data after I photographed the gravestones in the cemetery in Großenwörden.
I also used the registers of the parishes Horst in Burweg and Oldendorf, as well as the register of Hechthausen with the permission of its creator. I also found data in the OFB Balje that I exchanged with the woman, and readers of the Niederelbeliste [Lower Elbe list] also gave me data to incorporate. This list concerns data of the parish to the east and Bremervörde. Thank you for your support.
Some surnames have been spelled differently, for example Bardowick/Burwick/Borwick. I wrote these all the same and put the other spellings in parentheses. It's the same with Schlichten and Schlichting, which changed a lot throughout the years until it remained as Schlichting. Schillen and Schilling, as well as Lünstedt and Löhnstedt, Wedemeier and Wehdemeier, and Jarck and Jark, were also written differently.
Why did I capture this work?
Because I too rely on the work of other genealogists and thought to myself, I could also help the research community.
Now I wish you much success in the search for your ancestors as you read in this OFB. Renate from Stade
I work with the Ahnenblatt program and the birth dates have been calculated back with Gentools.
